The Meraki Project was launched in 2014, with a simple idea - to make clothes that have a story behind it. To make clothes that when worn, makes you feel like you're a part of something bigger. In our ideating phase, it was very important to us that the brand stays true to its beliefs and aesthetics of trying to add value to a garment, to add value to the fabric used to make that garment, and to add value to the people who were working hard behind the scenes to create pieces that are wearable, eclectic, comfortable, beautiful and sustainable.

Keeping those ideas in mind, "The Meraki Project" came about.

"Meraki" in greek means, the soul, creativity, or love put into something; the essence of yourself that is put into your work. The label is a tribute to all the people involved in the entire design process, from the weavers to the tailors, who work hard to create pieces that are filled with a lot of heart. The Meraki Project is about taking that love and putting it into each and every garment that comes out of our workshops.

The Meraki Project aims to modernise Indian Handwoven textiles into fuss-free, contemporary, eclectic and fun clothing for the woman of today.
Each piece is curated keeping the fabric in mind. From the fabric comes the design.

Lots of love & light,
